who can use rawdah
rawdah is designed for children ages 4 to 10, used under the supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or qualified teacher. only an adult (18 or older) can create an account. by creating an account, you confirm you have the authority to enroll the child in question.
teachers using rawdah for a classroom must have separately collected verifiable parental consent for each enrolled child, in accordance with their local laws (including coppa where applicable in the united states).
your account
you're responsible for the security of your account — especially the parent pin, which protects access to settings, billing, and your child's recordings. don't share it with your child.
one account, one family. if you teach a classroom, use the teacher onboarding flow rather than sharing a personal account.
your child's content
recordings of your child, tracings, and progress data belong to your family. we don't claim ownership. we use the recordings only to provide the speech-recognition grading the lesson requires; we don't mine them for advertising and we don't train ai models on them.
see the privacy policy for the full details on what we store, where, and for how long.
educational disclaimer
rawdah is a supplemental tool, not a replacement for a qualified qur'an teacher. the ai-assisted grading is a learning aid, generous by design at the lowest leniency setting. for tajweed certification or any formal recitation milestone, please work with a credentialed teacher.
the qur'anic content shown in the app is reviewed for accuracy by qualified reviewers, but we encourage parents to read the in-app content alongside their child and flag anything that looks off to us at the email below.
subscriptions and billing
some features require a paid subscription. subscriptions are sold and billed by apple through the app store and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. you can manage and cancel subscriptions in your apple id settings.
refunds are handled through apple's app store refund process; we don't issue refunds directly. we reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice via email to active subscribers.
if your subscription lapses, your child's local progress remains on the device. cloud sync, teacher features, and stage 2+ content are paused until the subscription is renewed.
acceptable use
please don't:
- create accounts for children you don't have authority to enroll
- share account credentials publicly
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the app's source
- scrape, mirror, or republish in-app content (the curriculum, audio, illustrations)
- attempt to access other users' data
- use rawdah for anything illegal
our service
rawdah is provided “as is”. we work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime, that every speech-recognition attempt will be correctly graded, or that the app will be free of bugs on every device. we'll fix issues as quickly as we reasonably can.
we may add, change, or remove features. for material changes affecting your subscription, we'll notify you in advance.
termination
you can delete your account anytime from the parent dashboard. when you do, your child profiles and all associated cloud data are deleted within 30 days. local data on your device is deleted as soon as you uninstall the app.
we may suspend or terminate an account that materially violates these terms. where possible, we'll give notice and a chance to remedy before terminating.
limitation of liability
to the maximum extent permitted by law, svlabs (a sharif ventures studio) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of rawdah. our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
governing law and disputes
these terms are governed by the laws of the state of delaware, united states. any disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration in delaware, except where prohibited by your local consumer-protection law.
